Genius

I have found that with a crawling baby it's impossible to get anything done. He spends about 2% of his day playing with his toys and the rest getting into everything that he's not suppose to. Whew, I'm exhausted! I feel like I just ran a marathon. I was granted a few minutes of peace today and this is why...

Why didn't I think of this sooner? :)

... What I do love is that he now follows us around or will crawl to me for a snuggle.
Pardon the cell phone quality... and my voice... but who doesn't hate the sound of their own voice.

Family Fun

This Saturday we took a family trip to the aquarium and we had so much fun! We can't wait to go back again.

Easter Sunday we went to church, then went home and dressed my poor defenseless baby in a completely horrible Easter get up. He's so going to get us back for this one day. I had planned to get him a really cute Easter outfit, but I couldn't find any of those cutesy outfits in size 24 months. So I was going to make one, but ran out of time. Sorry C.orben!

Then of course there are the pictures that I promised to post and didn't get around to... Sorry they're out of order, but I was getting aggravated trying to get blogger to reorder them.

Waiting for Daddy at the airport... So excited :)
Yay! Daddy's home! I had a really cute photo of the first time they saw each other, but it was from my cell phone and looked like crap.

I love my guys

Happy

It has been so wonderful having my husband home. I feel so much more complete now that he's back from deployment. C.orben must have been waiting for his daddy because not too long after my husband came home he started crawling forwards and really picking up on his speech. Yesterday hubs and I were talking and I told him that Cor.ben will probably start pulling up on things in a week or so... literally right after that C crawled over to him and pulled up. Show off ;).

I have discovered that he is much more of a Momma's boy than I thought. It was probably a mistake on my part, but during the deployment I didn't let anyone else feed or do anything for Corb.en besides me. Now first thing in the mornings and while getting ready for bed he only wants me and will cry so hard and reach for me if he sees me. I'm trying to not feel too bad about this because my mommy friends have told me that their babies do the same thing even though their husbands have always been around. It still makes me sad though. I don't want Jonathan to feel rejected and it would be nice to be able to sleep in and let him take over the 7:30 feeding.

I have some new pictures to post, but I'll probably just do a separate picture post because I don't feel like loading them right now. I've been feeling so tired and blah. Is anyone else having allergies kick their butt right now?

At Last

My love is home! This deployment has been the most challenging thing that I have had to do, but now it's over and my family is back together. Praise the Lord!

8 Months

Happy 8 months baby boy! Corbe.n got weighed yesterday and much to my astonishment he is 24 lbs now. Holy cow! I keep thinking that he's going to slow down on his growth, but it hasn't happened yet. He is now crawling... backwards... and I'm so excited for him to figure out that this crawling thing works forwards too. It doesn't stop him from getting where he wants to go though and he is all over the place and gets into everything. I think that he would rather play with the dog's toys and food dish and stuff around the house than any of his toys. He has the greatest personality and I love him so stinkin' much!

I'm so surprised that I got any decent pictures. He's so interested in everything around him now that he does not have time to sit still and take pictures for his Mother {sigh}.

I did it!!!!

I did it! I got to my goal weight! Just to recap... Before pregnancy I was 110 and during pregnancy I got up to 163, for a total weight gain of 53 lbs... yowzer! My goal was to get to 115 and I did it, I did it, I did it! I'm so proud. I know that if I had started trying to lose weight sooner and if I had worked harder it wouldn't have taken me as long, but 7 1/2 months isn't too bad to lose 48 lbs! I'm very proud! Now I just need to drill in my head that next time I'm pregnant I will not eat everything in sight, lol. Seriously.
